In December we had very unusual 18th wedding anniversary day...
Our little rescue dog Saffron became suddenly paralysed after walk in park on Boxing Day. Two days later, during our anniversary day, Saffron spent night in PDSA hospital with us not knowing if she was going to survive. Later that day, hospital discharged Saffron for assessments to private orthopedic clinic.
Pete drove Saffron there and spent afternoon, evening with 2 excellent vets, Saffron had CT and MRI scans. Vet discovered that Saffron's paralysis was caused by canine spinal stroke and began treatment...
So this year we had no anniversary day trip or special meal. But I made a collage anniversary card while waiting to hear back from Pete from vets clinic. Pete brought Saffron back home that evening and opened the anniversary card.
The best anniversary present for us all was that our little rescue dog 7,5 year old survived, didnt need compex spinal surgery and started treatment at home with medication and lots of rest.
And why I added photo of Christmas cactus on our anniversary card?
Family and friends who attended our bilingual international wedding would know why :)
❤❤❤
I will share this story another time.
